TAKING FAITH-BASED COMICS INTO THE MAINSTREAM
COMIX35 PresIDENT GUTIERREZ IS SERIES HOST Christian Comics Connection is a series hosted by José Carlos Gutiérrez, President of COMIX35: Next Gen. A graphic designer with 20 years of experience, José has worked for different types of industries such as tourism, music and entertainment, corporate design, social sector, department stores, and the food industry. His experience includes logo design, web design, editorial, illustration, packaging, advertising, promotional strategies and retail.
Christian Comics Connection presents a new episode about every six weeks and features a variety of talented artists, writers and publishers in the Christian comic book industry. Jose keeps you up on faith-based comics worldwide, drawing attention to the many God-gifted talents who are devoting their time to creating comic projects that glorify Jesus. The show also features on display new comic books to check out from a variety of Christian publishers, as well as a brief Christian comics history moment titled "Throwback." To date, two episodes have been released. Besides Gutiérrez' opening presentation, episode 1 featured Mercy Ways Studio and Daniel Johnson of Risen Vision Comics. Episode 2 featured Pastor Luke Stone with his Hybrids: Sons of Gods series and Al Nickerson and his graphic novel The Sword of Eden.
