▶ CREATIVE MOTION ANNOUNCEMENT
You may have noticed recently news and articles slowed to a complete halt here at Creative Motion Online. Does that mean this resource is ending? No. It does mean a transition is in the works.

Creative Motion Online is announcing impending launch of a new streaming video platform Creative Motion Network. This is being achieved behind the scenes now with the construction of a Roku channel that will officially be operational by the first day of spring, 2020. The streaming platform is being created to host faith-based short films by independent filmmakers and web series that fail to meet time requirements for conventional VOD platforms such as Amazon Prime Video.
Also on the channel will be original programs created by Creative Motion's production arm, such as "Keeping Up with the Christians." New programs being developed or recently launched include Faith Filmmaking in Focus, Christian Comics Connection, Acting on Faith and Christian Cinema Showcase. All of these programs, and others in development, will provide a forum previously occupying the typed news content seen in Creative Motion Online. Thus, this transition turns Creative Motion into a visual/video entity presenting news about upcoming films, programs and currently released projects.
Creative Motion Online (this website) will be transition becoming the Creative Motion Network site on January 29, 2020. What we would normally cover as news here will now appear as video productions on the Creative Motion Network Roku channel.

In January of 2019 Thurrott announced that Roku streaming system devices were currently in the hands of 27 million users globally. They are also the platform hosting the largest amount of independently produced Christian channels, at over 1,000 and counting.

Submissions for inclusion onto the Creative Motion Online TV channel will involve some quality requirements. Content is expected to be Christian, or faith-based, and grounded in Biblical truth. Cutting-edge creativity and fiction engaging the allegorical is welcomed. Acceptability will be evaluated on a case by case standard. The channel will be not monetized. It will be free to subscribers. Accepted content will see no financial residuals with placement strictly for promotional purposes for the producer of the project.
A Roku channel created by Creative Motion Online publishers Kevin and Kristen Collier in 2012 reached 26,000 subscribers before being retired due to other obligations. This was a channel based solely on original children’s content, at a time when Roku devices were in approximately 6 million households. The upcoming collaborative effort will feature a wide range of genres from a select group of producers so is expected to outperform the first venture into Roku.
