Faith Filmmaking in Focus is a series produced by Creative Motion Network that poses a topic question to five Christian filmmakers every episode providing answers to help those primarily in the independent film entertainment industry. Each episode typically runs 30 minutes or over.
EPISODE 1: How to avoid being too preachyIn our premiere episode on December 28, 2019, we posed the question "How can faith-based films maintain a Christian message without being too preachy?" Guests commentators include George A. Johnson (Homesick Media), Jordan Hatfield (Great Light Studios), Violetta Anna Licari (KLU Productions), Tommy G. Kendrick (Orange Buffalo Productions) and Matt Long (Burning Bush Productions). In this episode the topic of telling stories by using allegories is presented as one answer to the question.
EPISODE 2: HOW TO GIVE LOW-BUDGET FILM A BIG BUDGET FEELINGIn our second episode on January 18, 2020, we posed the question "What are some ways a Christian filmmaker, on a limited budget, can give their project a big budget feel?" Guests commentators include Daniel Knudsen (Crystal Creek Media), Koula Sossiadis Kazista (producer/writer/director), Katina Sossiadis (writer/director), Nathan Blair (Kingdom Sight Studios) and John Wayne Bosley (JB Movies). Answers included the use of drones, lighting, and better sound aspects.
