SOVEREIGN PLACE FILMS LLC RELEASing SCI-FI SHORT 'GILDA' in EARLY 2020

Sovereign Place Films LLC founder and CEO, Eric Douglas, has announced his faith-based sci-fi film short Gilda will be released in late January, or early February, of 2020.
“Gilda, set in an apocalyptic, alien-induced setting, is a woman's journey of learning how to trust God, when trusting God could cost everything, even her life,” Douglas told CM.
The film will feature Kerry McCormick in the lead role of Abree, Tim Martinez as the intruder, Eliza Duran as Gilda, and Brittany Tate as Trish.
Douglas stated the most challenging thing at the moment is “managing life while trying to pursue my passion for storytelling through the creative arts!”
“Being a first time writer and director, I am learning by baptism in fire,” Douglas shared. “I have had tremendous support from crew and cast, especially director Cortney Sargent who has been guiding me through the process.”
When not engaged in filmmaking, Douglas works a full-time day job, then works part-time at Sovereign Place Films, producing corporate videos to help fund his Christian sci-fi projects. He’s also lead pastor of a home church known as OIC (One In Christ) and “most important of all,” he conveyed, “keeping my relationship with God and family on point!”
Sovereign Place Films plans to premiere Gilda at a local Dallas, Texas theater. After that, Eric Douglas plans to release it online, via Amazon Prime, followed by YouTube, and other free streaming platform services.
