Lisa B. Media and Etta TV founder and CEO, Lisa Bryant, has a busy week ahead of her. Bryant’s production pathway sprang from being an author and since has developed into a motion picture, live stage production, and now a television comedy.
“This journey started as a book titled, Clown In The Prayer Closet, then a movie,” Bryant told CM. “We are still performing the stage play and now God has given me a sitcom!”
A writer of urban Christian fiction, Bryant announced the first episode of her Clown in the Prayer Closet sitcom, Train a Child In The Way They Shall Go, will be recorded in front of a live audience, followed by a panel discussion on the subject.
The event will take place October 5 at RC’s Event Center in San Leandro, California. Doors open to the public at noon, Pacific Time. Tickets can be acquired from Brown Paper Tickets to be part of the live studio audience. No tickets will be sold at the door. The making of the first episode of Clown in the Prayer Closet will also be streamed live on Etta TV beginning at 12:30 p.m. Pacific Time (3:30 p.m. Eastern). Those wishing to view this livestream of the program's taping can purchase tickets for only $6.95.

The livestream is not the final edited version of the episode, but a glimpse into the making of it.
“The whole world will have a chance to watch us film it,” Bryant said. “The completed episode 1 will be making its debut in January, 2020.” She explained that the final edited version of each episode will run 28:30 in length, allowing spots for advertisers.
The first episode tells the story of a teenage girl struggling with upholding her Christian values, or falling prey to the sins of the world.
“It takes you on a mental journey of life, puppy love, sex, drugs, and dysfunctional family life told through the eyes of a sixteen-year-old young lady named Denise,” Bryant explained. “An ageless story of love, rebellion, denial and redemption. Appropriate for all ages.”
Main character players include actresses Derriecia Maxon in the role of Denise, Nisha Brown as evangelist (and Denise’s mother) Millie Ann, with actor Kevin Thibodeaux as the father of Denise. Lisa Bryant plays Brenda,
“the nosey neighbor,” and live musical performances will be featured.
Byrant explained that subsequent new episodes of the Clown in the Prayer Closet sitcom will be shot every month (also in front of a live studio audience) and will feature an accompanying livestream of its making. These streaming events, dates and times, will be announced in future CM updates with links to obtain tickets.

This interview will be a live stream Watch Party hosted by the Michigan Christian Talent Network Facebook group.
