HOW CAN YOU GET ON THE CMN ROKU TV CHANNEL?
We are accepting submissions on our Creative Motion Network Roku TV channel from faith-based film producers. First off, we have to say that the channel is free to subscribers, so no money is exchanged, nor will we run ads on our platform. So this is not a for-profit venture. Kevin and Kristen Collier have financed this themselves and are doing it as an outreach, not business. Therefore, since the platform is not monetized, those having their films on this platform cannot be paid. Thus, films you have in which there is a commercial market for, we encourage you to seek that remuneration. This Roku channel will basically host faith-based indie films that have not been able to (for whatever reason) get onto any significant mainstream video platforms. If you have a film that falls into this category, is a well-done piece of work, but has no home, and you are not concerned about a residual and just want to find an audience for it, CMN TV is for you.
Contact program director Kevin Collier at kevincollier427@gmail.com to inquire concerning placement on our channel. We will design custom thumbnails for your film, and you may provide a description for viewers. If your film is accepted and becomes a part of CMN TV, we will also keep you posted as to how many views your work is receiving. Our last Roku channel we designed about a decade ago had a very narrow demographic, when Roku had a substantially smaller audience, but it still had nearly 30,000 households subscribed. CMN TV is expected to be much larger in reach.
While we are seeking mainly short films and series, feature films will be considered. Does a film have to be overtly Christian to be on CMN TV? No. If you are a faith-based filmmaker and have a mainstream film that is good "family viewing," we're up for that. Also, if you get onto our channel, at any time, for any reason, you can request your work be removed without any problems. We will be taking submissions for films beginning February 1, 2020 (contact us first before sending any MP4 files) and we'll get back to you. Our Roku channel will debut by the first day of spring this year.
Thank you!
